SKIN NEEDLING - COLLAGEN REACTIVATION

It creates a similar effect to Laser resurfacing without the damage to the epidermis. This gives better long term results as more healthy skin and blood vessels are left intact to promote healing and deposit collagen.

Treatment is performed using a cosmetic tattoo machine (without any pigment), multiple shallow puncture wounds are made through the skin creating dermal damage. The body’s reaction to Skin Needling is similar to its reaction to laser treatment, creating a build up of collagen in the treated area, just below the surface of the skin. This build up serves to fill the deeper areas of the wrinkles, normalizing the skin surface.  This is the object of ALL skin resurfacing and rejuvenating treatments.  It helps to soften lines on the face, around the eyes and mouth.

Skin Needling creates minimal dermal damage without the removal of the healthy epidermis, which happens with other resurfacing techniques. The face will appear to have been scratched where the wrinkles/lines have been treated.

Because the epidermis is left intact, the healing period is rapid.  The skin does not experience sun sensitivity.

Skin Needling can also be used for acne scar reduction; it creates a softer skin texture and softens the fibrous bands to give more flexibility and a more natural blended appearance.

Skin Needling for scars and wrinkles has been popular in other countries and its use for scar tissue is well known and utilized by plastic surgeons in the United States, Europe, Canada and South Africa.

The process can be repeated several times (4 weeks apart) to achieve maximum results.
